i’m a third-year Information Science PhD student at Cornell Tech, co-advised by Mor Naaman and Karen Levy. my research uses a human-centered approach to study the relationship between emerging technologies (especially AI), policy, and economic inequality. i believe technology can serve the public interest, but only if it’s democratically accountable.
i’m a member of the Social Technologies Lab and the Artificial Intelligence, Policy, and Practice (AIPP) initiative, as well as an affiliate of the Center for the Study of Inequality. i’m funded by an NSF CSGrad4US fellowship.
after nearly a decade building software in industry, i returned to academia to study the impacts of technology through a social science lens. i’m happy to speak with others considering a similar change—feel free to reach out.
